Dr. Sarvagya Dwivedi

Dr. Sarvagya Dwivedi, PIC Development Engineer

Dr. Dwivedi has 7 years of experience in the design, simulation, and fabrication of integrated photonic devices. Over the past few years, his research interests center around all-silicon tolerant filters, wavelength division multiplexers for datacom and sensing. His current research interests include design and characterization of monolithic silicon photonics based analog coherent links. He is also involved in the development of low-loss Silicon Nitride-based platform for optical beam forming network and interposer technology.

Dr. Dwivedi obtained his Ph.D. in Photonics Engineering from the Photonics Research Group, Ghent University – IMEC, Belgium and masters from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in Electrical Engineering. He is currently working as a Postdoc Research Associate at the University of California Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USA. He has authored and co-authored over 25 publications in the areas of all-silicon, silicon nitride and Ge-on-Si based tolerant devices and circuits for various applications like datacom, telecom, and mid-infrared sensing. Prior to joining his Ph.D., he also worked as an Applications Engineer and later as a Manager at COMSOL Multiphysics, where he was responsible for providing device and system level solutions in the area of RF, MEMS and heat transfer. He is a member of the OSA, IEEE, and IEEE Photonics Society.
